Today, Manufactured Home Parks (MHP) are a very common place for people to reside in.  With the popularity if MHP's  rising and availability of manufactured home lots decreasing, the large concentration of residents on one property poses a public health risk.

A manufactured home park is any tract of land upon which three or more manufactured homes are located.  This also includes any roadway, building, structure, vehicle, or enclosure used or intended for use as a part of the facilities of the park.  The Mansfield/Ontario/Richland County Board of Health, enforces the rules and laws governing manufactured home parks set forth in the Ohio Revised Code and the Ohio Administrative Code.

To ensure public safety, all manufactured home parks located in Richland County are inspected and licensed.  Manufactured home parks must be in compliance with all building and safety requirements.  Owners are also required to maintain the area in a healthy manner.  The Mansfield/Ontario/Richland County Health Department inspects each manufactured home park on a regular basis.  If a manufactured home park is not in compliance with the rules and laws set forth by the Ohio Revised Code and The Ohio Administrative Code, the Mansfield/Ontario/Richland County Board of Health can take away the license to operate the park, thus resulting in closure of the park.
