The Health Promotion and Education Division at MORCHD is an informational link to the community and the media. Services include programs on risk reduction and healthy lifestyles, health screenings for public and private employees, resource materials (videos, pamphlets, booklets) on health topics, and presentations for groups.

Health Risk Appraisals
The Health Promotion/Education Division also provides health risk appraisals for Richland County employees.  The health risk appraisals include a medical history assessment, blood pressure checks, and a total blood chemistry profile. Child Passenger Safety Seats

Safe Communities Grant
In Richland County, a Safe Communities program is being coordinated by the Mansfield/Ontario/Richland County Health Department under the name "Reduce Safety Risks in Richland County". The program, a grant-funded project sponsored by the Ohio Department of Public Safety, is a community-based program creating awareness and prevention of injuries caused by traffic crashes. Safe Communities is a program developed to establish and/or expand partnerships within each community to achieve a safer, healthier community, and in return reduce costs associated with injury.
