“This provides an opportunity to check on your family’s health, or your own health, close to home,” said Amy Vincent, Director of Nursing at the Health Department. “This brings a whole bunch of free health screenings right to your neighborhood.”
Included in the free health assessments are blood pressure screening, blood sugar screening, hemoglobin screening, weight check, nutrition education, medication counseling, lead screenings (for children ages 0 to 6), and health risk assessments. Child immunizations (available only at Wednesday sites below) are $8 for each vaccine and adult immunizations are available at standard charges. Cholesterol panel (blood sample) is offered for a $10 fee. Vision and hearing screenings and child development screenings are available with prior arrangement (call 419-774-4540).
